Such sweetness can be experienced once you step into Salem Sri Veenai Sangamam, an art school formed by Meenakshi Murali. In the last 3 decades, over 200 + students have learnt to play the divine instrument here. Mrs. Murali believes, Veena is as old as Vedas, but still as modern as Tomorrow.
The musical journey of Mrs. Murali has started when she was at her 16s from Guru Dhrovpathi Ammal. Later, she won various awards, recognition and hearts with her soulful music.
As the say goes, like mother, like daughter. Ms. Sasmita, daughter of Mrs. Meenakshi is playing the instrument since she was 8. She has pursued Diploma in Veena and currently exhibiting various stage performances. This young achiever dreams to take up her mother’s institute to the international level.
